Bridging Generations: Community Work

The Fabric of Our Community

The Fabric of Our Community is a beautiful short film created by Carebridge Community Support that highlights the people, relationships, and acts of care that help strengthen our communities and support older adults in living connected, meaningful lives.

Through stories of compassion, resilience, inclusion, and community support, the film reminds us that strong communities are woven together through everyday acts of kindness, connection, and care.

We are grateful to share this inspiring piece featuring members of our local community, including Bridging Generations Chair Sherryl Smith and narration by Violet Bova.

Wisdom Writers books are at the Pakenham Public Library!

There are twelve books in this fun LOCAL series! The books were created by the grade 5 class at Pakenham Public School – a 2024 Wisdom Writers Project – and are catalogued and part of the MMPL collection. Thanks to a community initiative, these fun titles are shelved at the Pakenham branch and can be reserved, checked out, and enjoyed by everyone! If you don’t have a library card, apply here. MMPL cards are used at Pakenham & Almonte branches and for all our digital library services.
