Health & Wellness Fair Report…

We asked the questions and you shared your thoughts…

On June 1, 2023 Bridging Generations hosted a Health & Wellness Fair with the goal of determining what older Pakenham residents needed to “age in place”.

This report outlines what we heard from older adults.

Recommendation #1

Improve local content for service providers on 211 and promote it to Pakenham residents.

We are working on this initiative, stay tuned!

Recommendation #2

Work with local initiatives to improve transportation in Lanark County.

Recommendation #3

Improve in-person and email communication for Pakenham Residents.

Sign up for our quarterly e-newsletter and stay informed with relevant age-friendly information.

Recommendation #4

Support the Pakenham Seniors’ Club #264:

The Pakenham Seniors Club is a social outlet for seniors seeking fellowship and friendship.

The Pakenham Seniors’ Club is keen to have new members, anyone from age 50 and up can join.

Bridging Generations-Age Friendly Pakenham

Bridging Generations-Age Friendly Pakenham is a volunteer run organization. Bridging Generations' volunteers work collaboratively to identify issues and find solutions that impact the community of Pakenham and Ward.
We identify issues that address the question "what will I need to stay in Pakenham as I age?" We use the WHO Friendly framework to guide our work.
